Wrestling in Iran

Iranian wrestling (Persian: کشتی‎, translit. koshti) is a form of submission grappling that has been practiced since ancient times in Iran. A form today is koshti pahlavani practiced in the zurkaneh, while regional variations differ from one province to another.
