Palestine

I wonder under what criteria is Palestine included in states with limited recognition. Because although it's true that Palestine is such a case, same can be said about Israel and China. The three countries are recognized by most UN members, but not for all. And I have nothing against Israel or China, just in case, I just think we have to be fair and give the same treatment to all states. --Dereck Camacho (talk) 07:51, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

PD: In any case I would suggest to place Palestine up, in the same area where China and Israel are, not to put China and Israel in the unrecognized section. --Dereck Camacho (talk) 07:52, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

The template copies the categorisation agreed for Template:Countries of Asia; I suggest raising this query on its talk page. Warofdreams talk 18:10, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, I will. --Dereck Camacho (talk) 19:24, 11 October 2017 (UTC)

Change the Brunei wikilink from Brunei to Brunei. This is to reflect the last page move from Postal codes in Brunei to Postcodes in Brunei. Zulfadli51 (talk) 16:04, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

@Zulfadli51: Not done: You are requesting a change to Template:Asia topic, but that is a generic template, used as a framework for several other navbox templates. You don't specify which of these navboxes is to be amended; it certainly won't be Template:Asia topic itself. But wherever this is, you should be able to use the |BN= parameter, as in |BN=Postcodes in Brunei, see Template:Asia topic#Altering the link used for a specific entity. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 20:13, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Change Palestine's flag article name to "Flag of Palestine" as it just redirects. Duonaut (talk | contribs) 00:43, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

@Duonaut: Not done: See box at top of this page, the one beginning "ATTENTION This continent-topic template is transcluded on multiple navigational templates". --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 10:49, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

I am requesting that in the Asia template, Palestine should be designated as 'Asian observer states' or 'sovereign states' and separate from the 'states with limited recognition category', as its a UN observer and has a far more substantial percentage of recognition (70.5%), making it mostly recognized and de jure. Please carefully consider this change and it is not attached to any political biases. Talatastan (talk) 17:18, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. — JJMC89(T·C) 18:14, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

Remove landlocked Countries and those without any islands from the List of Islands of Asia.

Since they'll be perpetually red links anyway. Rezelc (talk) 23:58, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Not done: If you're referring to Lists of islands#Asia you can just edit that article directly. It is not produced using this template. If you're referring to something else, please clarify — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:35, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
