Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Betty Logan (talk) 10:22, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Update needed

Article needs to be updated. New Bond novel is published by Anthony Horowitz named Forever and a Day. Kjempekjenn (talk) 22:10, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

Toby Stephens is listed as having portrayed Bond, but he was only villain Gustav Graves... assuming they're might be others listed as portrayers who weren't, I mean the point of having a "portrayers" list under Bond is to say who's portrayed... Bond? For a protected page it would seem someone has gotten away with misinformation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 18:12, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

Toby Stephens played James Bond in the BBC adaptations of Dr No, Goldfinger, From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. This page is about James Bond in general, not just the Eon produced films, which is why you have the likes of David Niven and Barry Nelson in there too. Edit warring over film dates

Mysterious Editor, could you please stop edit warring and actually read WP:BRD and WP:STATUSQUO. This article is an overview of the subject, so ephemeral details are not necessary - that’s what the other pages are for. As the Bond films are not all solely British, or have all had their premieres in the UK, it’s a false note to add to the table. The years are entirely sufficient to give the information. – SchroCat (talk) 19:07, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

The day and month release dates are not necessary on this article. This article just gives a general overview of the James Bond property and the years are sufficient for that purpose. It's all we have for the books and there is no reason to treat the films differently to the books. Betty Logan (talk) 19:52, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
There is absolutely nowhere that displays the release dates, meaning viewers have to click on the individual movie pages themselves. Can this be rectified anywhere? TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 20:59, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
What for? - SchroCat (talk) 21:00, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
Erm, same reason anything else is displayed on Wikipedia, and the reason this website exists? To inform people of information. TheMysteriousEditor (talk) 21:14, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
But for what purpose? Information is put in tables to be able to compare and contrast a number of similar fields. If you ignore the years, what are people going to be comparing or contrasting in terms of the actual dates? And why just the UK? There have been US, French, German and Japanese production companies involved (from memory). Not all the premieres have been in the UK, so you'd be comparing irregular information in many places. "To inform people of information" is pointless if the information is out of context or misleading. - SchroCat (talk) 21:31, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm going to agree with SC here. This page is meant as an overview. It doesn't need to have specific info. That can be included on each film's page. SonOfThornhill (talk) 12:13, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
I concur with the other editors above. Exact dates are only useful when they provide a valid point of comparison. Like it or not the Bond films are no longer purely British movies and having the British release dates is not really comparing things in a useful manner as it means different things for different movies. Just stick with the regular year of release. Details are for specific articles, not general articles. Canterbury Tail talk 12:53, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
