Pivotal vs. autonomous

Pivotal and autonomous are not synonymous. A pivotal category, in addition to being (left or right) autonomous, has for each object a natural transformation X ---> X^**. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs)


A category in which every object has a left (resp. right) dual is called left (resp. right) rigid. Hence the two pages should be merged. (talk) 14:25, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
