Please notice that the following look different from each other. I changed the first to the second in this article:
 in mn1 dimensional projective space.
 in (mn − 1)dimensional projective space.
The second form is in accord with WP:MOSMATH and is legible. The first is not.
The differences are:
 A minus sign rather than a hyphen.
 Space before and after the minus sign.
 Parentheses.
 The hyphen between the parentheses and the succeeding word.
