Southern Technical College is a private for profit technical college that provides diploma and undergraduate degree programs in a traditional on-campus setting. Florida campuses are located in seven cities around the state. The colleges offer degree and diploma programs in several career fields, including Allied Health, Business, Design, Electrical Trades, HVAC, Patient Care Technician, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Surgical Technician, Medical Lab Technician and Welding.

History

Founded in 2001, Southern Technical College is a private, accredited two-year junior college with campuses across Central Florida.

Accreditation

Southern Tech is a member of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC).

Southern Technical College is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education.[2]

Southern Technical College – Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, and Tampa campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) to award Bachelor’s degrees, Associate’s degrees, and diplomas. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
