Below that of Senior Station Inspector (2), and above Station Inspector. The rank is somewhat equivalent to the military's Master Warrant Officer rank.

As with the other agencies of the Home Team, other sister agencies follows a similar rank structure. The insignia similar, however, they are known by different names.

  • Central Narcotics Bureau - Senior Station Inspector 1
  • Singapore Civil Defence Force - Senior Warrant Officer 2
  • Immigration and Checkpoints Authority - Senior Checkpoint Inspector (1)
  • Singapore Prison Service - Senior Chief Warder (1)

Though not a part of the Home Team, the Singapore Customs equivalent of the rank is named "Chief Customs Officer (Special Grade Two)".
