Robin egg blue, also called eggshell blue, is a shade of cyan (greenish-blue color), approximating the shade of the eggs laid by the American robin.

The first recorded use of robin egg blue as a color name in English was in 1873.[1]

  • The "Tiffany Blue" has been trademarked by Tiffany & Co.
  • In The Great Gatsby, Gatsby's chauffeur is said to be "in a uniform of robin's egg blue".[4]
  • The girl mentioned in the song "Brielle" by Sky Sailing (a music project by Adam Young before he created Owl City) is wearing her grandmother's dress of white and robin's egg blue.[5]
