List of administrative divisions of Greater China by Human Development Index

This is a list of the first-level administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China (PRC), including all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, in order of their Human Development Index (HDI), alongside Taiwan. The 2017 figures for PRC divisions come from the Subnational Human Development Index (2.1), published by United Nations Development Programme. This report did not cover Macau, which is a special administrative region of the PRC.

The HDI values of Macau, as given in the UN Human Development Report, are included for comparison purposes.
