Floridia (Italian pronunciation: [flɔ'ridia]; Ciuriḍḍia[1] in Sicilian Sicilian pronunciation: [/çʊ'ɾiɖɖɪa/, /tʃʊ'ɾiɖɖɪa/]; from Latin Florae dies or from the latin adjective floridus[2]) is a town and comune in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily (Italy).


Floridia lies 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) west of Syracuse. Its principal industries are agriculture, livestock, and manufacturing.

Neighboring communities are Canicattini Bagni, Palazzolo Acreide, Syracuse, and Solarino.


Floridia was founded in 1628.
