# Diagonal subgroup

In group theory, a field of mathematics, given a group G, then the diagonal subgroup of the n-fold direct product Gn is the subgroup

${\displaystyle \{(g,\dots ,g)\in G^{n}:g\in G\}.}$

This subgroup is isomorphic to G.
