The University for the Creative Arts is a university based in South East England, with campuses in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester. It was formed as it presently stands in 2005 via a merger between two specialist art and design institutes; Kent Institute of Art & Design and Surrey Institute of Art & Design, University College. It was granted university status in May 2008.
