Beacon of Light

The Beacon of Light is a sports, community and education facility, located in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. Managed by Sunderland A.F.C's charity wing, the Foundation of Light, the Beacon is currently in the final stages of construction with opening scheduled for Summer 2018. The Beacon is designed in a cube shape with a luminous roof which lights up at night.[1]

The Beacon will host state of the art facilities including sports halls, football pitches and educational suites. When completed, it will serve the charitable purpose of providing opportunities, assistance and support for the people of Sunderland.[2]
