The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) is as a consortium of leading research universities located in countries and regions in the Pacific Rim. Formed in 1997,[1] APRU fosters collaboration between member universities, contributing to economic, scientific and cultural advancement in the Pacific Rim. Its membership features fifty leading research universities across sixteen countries. It is located in the IAS building at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong.
