1998 English cricket season

In the 1998 English cricket season Leicestershire won the Britannic Assurance County Championship for the second time in three seasons.[1] [2] while Lancashire performed the one day double.

South Africa toured England to compete in a test series which England won 2-1.[3] Sri Lanka also toured England to compete in a one match test series with England. Sri Lanka won 1-0.[4]
